Uploading the logfile to my own server

    Hello,

Is it possible to upload the logfile to my own server? I don't mean to upload via active sync but real time or via the upload button in the logscreen of reperion. Now we useyour account data (tracker.reperion.com en the user and passwords, but in my case I would use my own ftp-connection.

    Hi bs318cv,

We are not quite sure we understand you.

If you point your client to yourserver.yourdomain.com , the client will try to upload positions to your IP address, however, there's no Reperion server there.

The positions you LOG are stored in the POSITIONS.LOG file in the \mydocuments folder on your PDA.

Please explain more, and we will help more.

Also, update your profile by clicking on your name, and select to get email updates on your postings.

    Thanks for your answer.

It's correct, there is no reperion server on our own upload ftp-address. But we don't want use the reperionserver. We only want to transfer the data to our own ftp-adress for futher dataprocessing. So we want to transfer it only to that address. In that case, can we use as servername our FTP-adress and as call name the userid and as password our password?

Re: Uploading the logfile to my own server

I wanted to know if I could build my own Reperion server, and have the client send the data to my server.  This way the viewing of the webpage would faster, since it was local.

Re: Uploading the logfile to my own server

If you just want your GPS data , Reperion is overkill :)

Maybe you can write your own application that does only GPS upload via FTP.

It will probab;y be much more efficient in achieving your goals,

We don't support FTP uploads (yet)
