Re: What features should we release first ?

My wish list looks a bit different Wink

But if i where you i would start with features like:

     - Position based picture

Uploaded pictures should be attached to the track
easiest and i think best working is based on time stamp, so if i upload a picture the server checks the timestamp in the exif info and attaches it to the trackpoint with the best matching time.

This will be possible and implemted quite soon. We will enable you to upload your pictures to the database, and have a geo-tag to it. So please bear with us a bit more. This WILL BE DONE SOON.

     - Position based blog

Similar to the picture function, i can submit a textmessage from the client and this text gets shown in a "ballon" on the track

This already works in Google Earth, we will extend this possibly to other presentation solutions.

     - Teamview

For sport events (gigathlons, bike race, paragliding event, whatever) You should add an option to see the tracks of several "tracers" on one map, so one can live watch who is leading...

Use Google Earth to "Add all the network links" of your teammates.

You will have INSTANT SITUATIONAL AWARENESS for all your Tracked Users

    - Clear labels for the values metric/US/imperial and a useroption on the webpage to change this

Don't really understand, but if you TAP AND HOLD the stylus on mph/feet you can change metric/USA

    - Burst mode

Not all countries and users have cheap "data packages" for the mobile contract, and for slow sports and nice tracks the trackpoint intervall should be as narrow as possible, so there should be two options on the client on for the track tacking and one for the updating

You can use the LOG function to LOG all positions instead of sending them directly via GPRS or so. This way you can still use PocketReperion but send/upload your tracks when you are at home (Free ActiveSync). There will be an option soon to log every 1 and 3 seconds as well.

    - Track Naming

When starting a track i'd love to see a option if i d'like to continue the last track or create a new one
On the calender when i choose a certain date i would then to have the option between choosing of  the different tracks

Good idea. Thank you. Might be done....

    - Track categories

The option to create different categories for the tracks and to store the tracks in them.

    Same...Good idea, might be implemented.

    Have fun

     Andreas

    - Clear labels for the values metric/US/imperial

On the Webpage the numbers are displayed without k/mh or mph so a visitor does not know what kind of value this is.
Also maybe some friends in other continents who visit my tracklogs would like to see the site displayed with different values.

Add ability to set the interval for sending the data. The current log switch is manual and works fine if you want to store the full log while mobile then upload when home. The other option is to have the log sent real time at the interval set in config. I'd like to have the option to collect the data in the client for x seconds/minutes, then have the batch of data sent up at the interval. This allows the detailed position data to be collected but saves the battery since it is not having to make a real time internet connection as often.

FLICKR integration.  Or simply the ability to overlay a KML or GeoRSS from Flickr on to the map. I did it myself in Google Earth, but regular google, although my flickr photos show up just fine, not all my GPS tracks show up.
