Using Reperion & Pocketmap Navigator at the same time

Both programs work well independently. But when I run them at the same time they both want to use Com 4. First come first serve so to speak. I am using a globalsat sd 501 GPS. Any ideas?

Depending on your device Model/OS/version you might be able to use the default Microsoft Port Splitting software. Its under the tab "connections" in a PDA with Windows Mobile 5. It's called "GPS settings" If you don't have this icon, you can to to www.gpsmeter.com and download the comsplitting software there.

To be short, comsplitting is a bitch, you have to tell the comsplitting software which is the real hardware comport you configured, and then you create one virtual port to point all the application to.

Please advise, it will work for most people. By the way, excellent picture you made in the snow. Surf to http://kmlcomposer.reperion.com to generate your daily or montly track overview.

I am using Windows Mobile 6. WM6 handles it perfectly. I can use different programs, all using the same (virtual) COM3, while the hardware is "attached" via Bluetooth on COM7. You should let WM6 handle it.

I see it is an old thread, but I know that it takes some time before the settings work as they should. It took me a month before I had it installed properly. Tongue Tied
