What is ReperionTM?
ReperionTM Real Time GPS Tracking & Tracing and blogging for PocketPC/SPV/Symbian - Webtrac-4 G-19B GC-101"
Reperion enables you to send your position in real time to our server, where we will display your location on a highly detailed map. Map types are Google Earth, Virtual Earth, and you can also use your own maps.
You can also send and receive messages, upload audio and pictures to our server, or get navigation information.
MAP VIEW 1 : View your tracks, audio, pictures, other users, set geo-fences!
A geo-fence allows you to receive emails when a user enters or leaves the fence you set around it.
What do I need to get started?
You need : A Pocket-PC running WM2003(SE) or WM2005(WM5), a GPS receiver AND POCKETREPERION software....and you need to be able to go on the internet with your device , for realtime GPS tracking you need GPRS, if you track offline, ActiveSync will do the job.
- press setup - config
- select tracker1.reperion.com
- enter your call (in the email you just got)
- enter your pwd (also in the email you just got)
- select COMPORT (if you don't know, you should download visualGPSce to find out about it...)
- select BAUDRAUTE (same story)
- press OK
- press setup again, now select SAVE
- press and hold mph/alt to change to metric
- press rate to change the rate at which the PocketPC will try and upload your position to our servers
- press setup - clear track to clear the track of today on the server. Also used to clear corrupt tracks.
- press setup - Min DX to set the minimal amount of distance that your position should have changed before an update to the server will be sent.
- press setup - log to NOT USE REALTIME reporting, but to save your tracks locally on your PocketPC, so you can transfer them to our server when you are at home or somewhere with an internet connection.
- to START the application, press the GREEN ARROW, a STOP SIGN will appear
- to STOP the application, press the STOP SIGN, a GREEN ARROW will appear
- to SEND A TEXT MESSAGE TO THE WEBSERVER, press the PENCIL ICON, multiple selection boxes will appear. Use the "Enter a 40 char message" box to send your text to the web interface on the next GPS position upload
- to POST AN IMAGE ON THE WEBSERVER, press the PENCIL ICON, multiple selection boxes will appear. Use the "Enter text for image... " box to enter your text that should be displayed under your upload image, on the webserver. Then click the "POST JPG" button to browse for your image on your PocketPC.
- to POST AN AUDIO MESSAGE ON THE WEBSERVER, use the PENCIL ICON, multiple selection boxes will appear. Use the "POST AUDIO MSG" box to browse for a locally stored audio file (remember, your PocketPC records in 128Kbit/44KHz, producing very big files... You can select to use a GSM Codec, which produces very small files that are very suitable for audio upload to our server. Go to your settings in your PocketPC system itself, select Personal settings, then "input" (the keyboard icon), then select the third tab "options". Under "voice recording format" select GMS 6.10 8,000Hz, Mono (2Kb/s). You don't have to do this, but it's advisable.

How can people see where I am?
You can use many different options to show your tracks to people, or look back at your own tracks :
Reperion Web Interface : http://tracker1.reperion.com/wrldMap.aspx?name=D-8498
Google Maps : http://tracker1.reperion.com/GMap.aspx?name=D-8498
Virtual Earth : http://tracker1.reperion.com/VEMap.aspx?name=D-8498
Google Earth !!!! : http://tracker1.reperion.com/images/D-8498.kml
Your own provided map : (only for businesses)
How does it all look then GOOGLE MAPS ?

In Google Maps (via the website, not the GE client) you can see the historical data for each user. If you are on the move, or people looking at your tracks don't have Google Earth installed, they can still check your postion via this interface : http://tracker1.reperion.com/GMap.aspx?name=D-8498
How does it all look then VIRTUAL EARTH?

If you need detailed roadmaps to have someone guide you, or just for fun, you can also select the Virtual Earth interface (Microsoft) Here you can see more than one user, and also your historical data. If people cannot install Google Earth, or are just browsing, they can also use this interface : http://tracker1.reperion.com/VEMap.aspx?name=D-8498
How does it all look then GOOGLE EARTH

Use Google Earth, you also can track Reperion clients in real-time, You can track as many clients as you want at any given time. This is the preferred way to look at your tracks, because Google Earth only downloads a KML file from our server and stores your track locally in your browser. This way is the fastest, and the most detailed and customizable as well.
To have people, or yourself, see your tracks in real time, or historical, point them to this link and substitute my username (D-8498) with your username :
http://tracker1.reperion.com/images/D-8498.kml

When looking at tracks in Google Earth, you can select to see the individual dots and their speed and course. The PocketPC or WM5 client sends GPS positions to our server, and we plot the track in Google Earth for you.

The closer you zoom in , the higher the detail gets.. normally J
