Hi all,

Reperion always worked fine under WM5 but after a repair I am stuck to WM6 and Reperion does not seem to work.

The app loads but get's no data from the GPS. Anyone else having this problem? Unfortunately I cannot revert to WM5 :-(

Hi Skywarn..  WM6 is not that much different, so we will get you on track.

• what version reperion are you trying to use ?
• have you selected in WM6 "manage my GPS apps automatically"
• are you running other GPS apps simultaneously ?
• some version (1.0.0.6) look like they don't work...until they FIX GPS, only then the screen is updated

WM6 manages my GPS
I don't run any other app, though I tested my navsoft which works ok out of the box
I have no idea what you mean with V 1.0.0.6

Hmm, after 1 1/2 hours Reperion has a sat-lock. I am confused, will sort it out and let you know :-)

OK Please keep reporting on version 1.52.

In www.reperion.com/newclient there is a version "Reperion for Integrated GPS"

this should be version 1.0.0.6 (a different, development thread of Reperion)

This version is better capable of handling configurations where the GPS splitter of WM6 is used (which you DO use) (its the GPS icon in settings)

If you can't get 1.52 to work, play with the port settings, set it to the program port selected in the GPS Settings field.

If it still won't work, play (swap hardware& software ports) you can try the 1.0.0.6 version and see how that goes.

The 1.0.0.6 will "freeze" if bluetooth is OFF, and will look frozen until GPS is FIXED.

Anyway, one in 1000 possible configurations will work. Im sure. Our problem is finding the right one.

I figured it out, in a way.
I have to set my pda-gps to use comport 5. Then I need to reenter the correct settings in Reperion, although the settings are already set correctly, and only then Reperion connects to my GPS.

All in itself this is not a problem for me but it would be better if it worked without playing with the settings first, just like the Destinator navsoft that workes out of the box on my PDA. (This is not a complaint though :-) ) 'Normal' pda users will quickly turn away from this since they will not be able to get it to work.

I will test the other version next week.

New problem :-) Auto-update does not work. The countdown and everything else stalls when the counter reaches 0000 or 0001. Strange enough a forced update goes without a glitch. I use 1.52.5 at the moment. It worked before but all of a sudden the fun is over. Any hints on this? Asus Mypall A639/WM6 Herman

• our server wasn't running smoothly last 24 hours
• if you see a "no connection, report not send" means our server is down, or your device is "hanging" in between GPRS/UMTS APN access point.

Solving this problem mostly done by pressing the END CALL button for 10 seconds, or manually killing the GPRS connecting for a second.

The behaviour you see is mostly a GPRS Connection hanging. I always press the END CALL button (the red phone button) for more than 10 seconds.. then the GPRS connection will be killed hardware-based.

Then Reperion reconnects and sends the reports just fine,

Hi Mike, I get no errors. The app 'hangs' untill I press 'stop' and then everything is fine again though pressing 'start' gets me in the same loop. Speed, alt and position are also not updated onscreen so I think the app is looping somewhere. Herman

Hmm amazing. I lost track of what did work and what doesn't. I'm so sorry.

Delete your positions.log if present in your \mydocuments

and if that fails also delete reperionsave.txt .

If that fails re-install from http://www.reperion.com/newclient

Did reperion ever work correctly for you. Your tracks seem OK.

Are you by any chance using Vodafone in the netherlands as the carrier ?

It seems that Microsoft Pushmail, and Reperion won't work as well on Vodafone as on T-mobile , but it's still somewhat of a longshot.

Please try and use the clear track function to see if that works.

It must work, because it worked once, according to your post.

I am using T-Mobile. I have no problems using any internet service at all.
Clueless, but I'll try all I can in the hope to find an answer. If it works every now and then something must be playing a role :-)
