I try to use Reperion on my Dell Axim X5 with pocket PC 2003 (WM2003) and an compact flash GPS card.

It doesn't find the GPS however, it doesn't matter which com port I select.

VisualGPSCe can see the GPS and makes a good connection.

Can somebody give some advice?

I'd like to test and use the reperion software

Did you "close" VisualGPS" before you tried Reperion ?

What version of Reperion are you using ?

Did you try the version that's called "Only if other versions don't work.cab" ?

Please report :) We will get you on track. Maybe you need to select a GD4 port instead of a COMport.

What i tried is:

- open VisualGPS

- this app. makes a good connection with the GPS

- open reperion

- reperion doesn't make a GPS connection

 So I didn't close VisualGPS before opening reperion. Should I?

The version I'm using is 1.53HW (date 14-10-2007)

Where can I find the "only if other version don't work.cab" file?

Hi Koen,

You have an "old" device , so we must be careful :)

Yes... close VISUALGPSce when done. Then, start reperion, and use exactly

same comport / baudrate as you use in VisualGPSce.

You cannot use two programs at the same time, if they both want to use the GPS.

Actually, you can.... but let's test 1 program at the time first.

by the way, do no tuse the 1.53HW version as it's for HP devices !! not Dell !

Please browse to http://www.reperion.com/newclient/003%20PocketPC%202003%20versions/WM2003_153_reperion_PPC.ARM.CAB and use that version.

Delete the old version first, delete reperionsave.txt as well.

We will get you on track succesfully, I'm 100% sure !
